Interactive digital walkthrough of Adam Toksöz solo gallery show ‘Transmissions from the Ancient Past’. On display at Blo Back Gallery in Pueblo, CO opening 8/2 through the end of August.

Artist statement:

“The 30 pieces in this collection were created mostly during 2023 and 2024 and with the exception of a few acrylic paintings are all mixed media assemblage style pieces.I used this show as an opportunity to not only explore new ideas (spending almost as much time researching as I did creating the artwork) but also to experiment with combining various styles & mediums that I have used throughout the years.Each one of these paintings has it's own general theme & idea with hidden symbolism & meanings. Some of it will not be apparent to everyone, and not all of it is even apparent to me necessarily. I really tried to clear my mind, meditate, & let these pieces flow through me without putting too much of myself into them.While these paintings were really meant to be viewed in person (& I highly encourage checking them out at Blo Back Gallery) I poured alot of time & energy into these pieces and wanted anyone who wanted to see them (whether they can be present in person or not).Thanks so much for viewing these paintings with a clear mind and an open heart. I truly hope that some of this work speaks to you or gives you some sort of connection or feeling.
